Crime, Law, and Courts Definitions, Read, Conversation, & Discuss Presentation-ESL Fun Class!
Try out our Crime, Law, and Courts Definitions, Read, Conversation, & Discuss Presentation.
Description: This is a 24-slide Explanation-Exercises Presentation.  The presentation has a vocabulary explanation, thirty-five common vocabulary words with their definitions or descriptions, reading exercises, conversation exercises and discussion exercises along with a cover slide, answer keys and a good-bye slide. How to Use it:  Have students take turns with the teacher reading the vocabulary explanation slide, the seven definition slides and the additional notes slide.  Be ready to answer questions while going over these slides.Students can take turns while working on the reading and conversation slides too.  Within the four reading and conversation slides, there are two slides with five photos and two slides with text.  Students will use the grammar topic to identify what is in each photo.  Then they will use the photos to help them fill in the missing words in the text. The presentation finishes with two discussion slides which contain five photos each.  Students can now get into pairs or groups and use the target language to talk to each other about the photos.  Suggested answers follow on the next slide. It is a good idea for teachers to print out a copy of the answer key slides for quick reference.  To do this just save the presentation as a PDF and then print the answer slides with a PDF printer. The presentations also work great for extra homework practice, extra credit or material for substitute teachers. You can always upload the presentation to your platform in PDF format and have students complete them with a PDF editing program.Notes:Be sure to download the sample page and zoom in to see all of the exercises clearly.Look for our free syllabus to see how this PowerPoint dovetails with a grammar unit in our five-semester course.  (the complete course will be available by August 2018)Most of the material in this presentation is sold separately in worksheet form on this site.Use our board, card and Jeopardy games, worksheets, or our other PowerPoint presentations as complementary activities for this presentation.
