Students are giving the scenario of being shipwrecked on an island called Aipotu (Utopia backwards). They need to use a range of creative thinking skills in order to survive on the island. The tasks require the use of skills such as mind mapping, Clustering, Ignorance logging, SCAMPER, Thinker's Keys, The Six Thinking Hats, Habits of Mind and Socratic Seminar. Included is a peer assessment sheet with details on how to organise a Socratic Seminar (Circle). The island is based on a real island called Inaccessible Island. I hope you enjoy teaching it as much as I enjoyed creating it.
