CV Workbook & CV Template

This CV workbook was developed to support students in creating their first CV.

It has six short activities that help students identify what they need to include and how to write it.

Activity 1: My skills & qualities
Activity 2: Writing your personal profile
Activity 3 Writing about work experience
Activity 4: Writing about your interests
Activity 5: Other Information
Activity 6: Transferable skills

It can be introduced as part of a drop down day, before mock interviews, after a talk by a local employer etc… You can make the template available on your school website.

This workbook has been used over a number of years and evaluated by students in a school that holds the Quality in Careers Standard.

Supporting students to create a CV should be part of your stable careers program (Gatsby Benchmark 1) and support you in addressing the needs of each pupil (Gatsby Benchmark 3)
