CVC Word building practice book

This package comes with two versions of the same file. One is the original size which can be used if you want to print each page out in A4. The second copy (and the one we make use of ourselves) is a printer friendly booklet. When you decide to print this version simply select the 2 to a page & back to back options on your printer. (Ensure you choose the ‘flip on the short edge’ option in the back to back setting.

We use these with our emergent readers who may need more practice blending thier CVC words. We have found these to build confidence in this skill with plenty of different lists to help students really consolidate this sometimes challenging to master skill. This booklet goes back and forth between school and home ensuring open communication with home and making sure the child receives the maximum support in their learning journey.

Each list has an empty ´tick´ box above it, allowing teachers to mark the list they would like the parents to practice with the child at home. We highlight each word as they successful read it and then highlight the smiley face under each list once they have successfully completed it.
