Democratic Process- Voting

Students learn about the democratic process. I printed a ballot paper from http://apps.aec.gov.au/GetVoting/ballotpaper for a class leader. They cast their votes and got a group to tally up the marks with me. For a low to medium ability class.The styles of voting can be confusing, so the ballot paper really helps. The teacher uses the help of students to model how counting occurs under different systems. (Past the post and preferential were used and the students understood the voting process very well)
