Pupils work in pairs - one is given Set A and the other is given Set B. They sit back-to-back and take it in turns to describe and draw the box plots on the sheet. They should be encouraged to use the correct vocabulary ie minimum, maximum, quartile, median, scale. This is good practice of reading and drawing box plots.

What a great way to get students to use the vocabulary of Box and Whisker Plots! I plan to use this next week.

A great way to encourage development of mathematical terminology and literacy in the maths classroom. Thank you!

Lovely way to get students to describe the key features of the plots. I might ban "Upper Quartile" so they're forced to state IQR. Thanks
