Lesson 2 in the Taj Mahal Setting Description Unit, aimed at Year 4 class where children are describing the Taj Mahal. I taught this as part of our Around the World topic.

In this lesson, children are describing their senses at the Taj Mahal. What can they see, feel, smell and hear? I didn’t include taste as tasting was banned at the time of teaching for obvious reasons, but I’m sure this would be a great addition.
Children watch the video exploring the Taj Mahal and describe their senses. There is also a interactive panoramic video for you to explore as a class.

Learning Objective: To be able to able to describe our senses. There is no formal lesson plan included, only the activities and presentation. This is so that you can adapt the lesson and plan using your own schools format.

All the resources are editable so you can adapt to your class/school. Differentiated 4 ways as this was taught across a mixed Year 4 and 5 class.
