A resource I made for KS3, but would be appropriate for a low to mid ability GCSE set given the nature of the new curriculum. Lots of active tasks involved which encourage them to analyse devices before applying them to their own writing. The lesson contains a balance of reading and writing tasks. My students really enjoyed this lesson, which could be split into two, as it balances independent and collaborative learning.
