This is a fully resourced lesson suitable for GCSE students of all levels, helping them to effectively prepare for English Language Paper One, question 5.
Starter, main tasks and plenary - could definitely take two lessons, maybe three if done fully with improvements too.
Fully differentiated too, in order to support lower level students and challenge higher level students.
Involves looking particularly at how to structure a descriptive writing piece to best gain marks in their GCSE language paper one, but also looks at the difference between language and structure, so touches on language techniques too. A really good lesson I have used in interviews! Suitable for all years in secondary, but particularly year 10 and year 11.
