Disease - Human Defense System

Lesson created as part of Biology GCSE Disease unit. Aims to provide a thorough understanding of first line defense mechanisms, moving onto the immune system and development of immunity. Targeted at high attaining pupils primarily and can be further extended with addition of challenging past exam questions. Summary questions at the end can be completed independently, in groups or on white boards (depending on the needs of the class/teacher). Can be made more interactive by using this powerpoint to follow up on an independent research task, guided with suitable questions.
