
Suitable for any age, this resource is a set of 21 distraction cards which can be cut out, holepunched and attached to a key ring. Pupils can then ‘pick a card’ and complete the distraction exercise. There are questions, riddles, breathing exercises and mini tasks. These cards are designed to halt the downwards spiral of panic and anxiety, forcing the brain to think of something completely random and ‘snap out’ of the panic. They are not in any way a treatment for anxiety, but a useful tool for teachers, ELSAs, SENDCOs, LSAs and other pastoral staff.
