Domino Fact Families. Do you have any students or children who are DOMINO crazy? Fact Families can be fun! Dominoes can be used to introduce and practice fact families.

-laminate and cut-out each of the black and white dominoes (for extended use in the classroom or at home)

-place a black and white domino on the mat

-write the fact family for each domino placed on the mat

This Domino Fact Families include:
-a hands-on lesson

-fact families wipe-off mat

-black and white dominoes

-three "Where's the Fact Family" printables and recording sheets

Dominoes have become a staple in most classrooms and homes. They build upon dice patterns and are often used to model decomposition of numbers, building student knowledge of addition facts.

Differentiation: Teachers and parents may easily differentiate this activity by providing differentiated bags of dominoes, that effectively target the instructional level of the student. For example, an easy set may include dominoes with sums less than or equal to 5, while a challenging set may include dominoes with sums greater than 10.
