This extract and PPT covers paper 1 , questions 1 - 3 from the reading section and writing questions 7-8 from the Pearson exam board for GCSE English. It is a session designed for exam practice, either in class in preparation for mocks or for revision workshops. I personally have 50 min sessions with my students, so I find the format useful in these short sessions. Each question uses the extract from Dracula and is timed. Questions come with answers and the trickier questions come with an answer scaffold to support the lower ability students. This can be altered to suit your own cohort or teaching style.
