Practise drawing and reading bar charts, with the frequency table printed right beside the axes so students move straight from table to bar. 16 questions, full answers included.
Worksheet (2 pages): draw a bar chart from each table on ready-numbered axes, then choose and number a scale yourself, complete a table from a finished chart, read a horizontal bar chart to find a fraction, and draw a missing bar using the total.
Further practice (2 pages): graded by difficulty. Tallying a list of smoothie choices into a table, a horizontal bar chart of netball goals, reading totals and fractions from a chart, a missing bar from a twice as many clue, ticket sales turned into money, spotting two mistakes in a drawn chart, and explaining why a taller bar on a different scale does not always mean more.
Answers to all 16 questions are included as a separate file.
Suitable for GCSE Foundation (AQA S2) and for Key Stage 3 classes working on bar charts.
