Drugs and synapses

Powerpoint lesson plus worksheet plus exam questions:

-starter recapping inhibitory synapses from previous lesson with answers
-info slides on how common drugs work at synapses
-link to ‘mouse party’ drugs&synapses animation - very engaging. Students will need access to a computer or they can use their phones. Accompanying handout included for students to fill in details of how each drug works at the synapse. Students can feedback their answers after 30mins.

• Exam questions with mark schemes included for additional classwork OR homework. Students can self assess using mark schemes or can be teacher assessed as a hw.
