#### The Elements of Music - Duration unit is designed as an introduction to the concept of music, duration. It introduces the elements of beat, meter, tempo and time signatures. There is also extension activities on syncopation with a style analysis of rhythms found in Afro-Cuban jazz.. Combined with practical activities, this unit is designed to run across 10 weeks with a fortnightly focus on an aspect related to duration (rhythm).
