A set of 10 workbooks incorporating phonological awareness, vocabulary development, phonics, reading and writing activities for pupils who are new to English literacy, or who are struggling to learn to read and write in English. Each staged work book contains activities which pupils can work through either in a small group or independently. This staged approach differs from other reading schemes in that it systematically introduces vocabulary and sentences structures alongside photo phonics, thus helping to teach language and literature simultaneously. Developed by a practicing EAL advisor, due to a lack of resources available to meet this particular need.
