Revision lessons to highlight the significance of individuals in increased medical knowledge during the Renaissance, despite being a period of such continuity in cause, treatment and prevention of disease, entitled 'Does the Renaissance deserve any credit?' Helps students to tackle the exam questions that ask to evaluate extent of progress during Renaissance period and avoid generalising as a period of just continuity or of just change.

- printable card sort to establish notion of progress in terms of medical knowledge in comparison to why their was little change from medieval times in treatment and prevention of disease.
-role of factors in causing change or continuity during this period, using a puzzle template, with change in top half of each piece. continuity in bottom half.
- evaluation of the significance of Sydenham, Vesalius and Harvey in the progress in medical knowledge and short and long term significance.
-Apply to demonstrate task where students are to select examples of progress that could be credited during this period in the form of a museum style activity.
-picture analogy linked to health jigsaw to review learning.
