Included is a complete breakdown of every question in the Edexcel GCSE History specification (including for the updates and changes to the format of the questions from 2025 onwards). This includes:
- Knowledge needed for that unit
- What the question stem is
- How to answer the question
- The mark scheme for the question
- How the marks are awarded (assessment objectives)
- WAGOLL
- A sample answer for every level within that type of question and an explanation as to why it would achieve that level
- Sample answers that can be pupil-marked
- Space for planning of answers to a question (I have used the 2024 exam series)
- Sample questions (2-3 of each for every question)
These are modelled on the following topics (though the format works for any option choices):
- Paper 1: Crime and Punishment
- Paper 2a: Early Elizabethan England
- Paper 2b: Superpower Relations and the Cold War
- Paper 3: Weimar and Nazi Germany
note: all of these answers are typed by hand, and there has been no use of generative AI throughout the entirety of the document. This is due to the minutiae that AI can often misinterpret and misunderstand
note: I have not included the actual markschemes and questions in this due to copyright - however, I have noted that these are taken from the 2024 exam series; please copy and paste these into the relevant positions for your use
