Edexcel Transactional Writing SOW

This Key Stage 4 Transactional Writing Scheme of Work has been successfully used with multiple cohorts and is designed to fully prepare students for the demands of the Edexcel IGCSE English Language examination. The scheme explicitly teaches the skills required for each transactional writing form, including articles, speeches, letters, reviews and leaflets, while closely aligning with the assessment criteria. Through engaging activities, modelling, guided practice and regular exam-style tasks, students develop confidence in both content and technical accuracy. Although designed around the Edexcel IGCSE specification, the resources can be easily adapted for the standard Edexcel GCSE course. The result is a structured, engaging programme that consistently supports strong student outcomes.
