A set of 21 cards to be sorted into 7 sets of 3 as a starter activity for understanding Empirical Formulae. Helps pupils revise ratios and proportions and get in the mood for empirical formulae. Supporting powerpoint presentation gives the answers and also an example for each of a compound with its molecular formula and empirical formula. Used for one of my first attempts at a lesson, so be gentle!
