**This comprehensive PowerPoint has been fully updated for the AQA GCSE English Language exams from 2026 onwards. **

It can be printed or shared electronically as a booklet and used for English Language intervention, revision, homework or independent study.

The resource is based on the current AQA GCSE English Language specification and 2026 exam format, including the revised wording and structure of questions on both Paper 1 and Paper 2. It contains eight intervention sessions covering both papers and is designed to help students build confidence, improve exam technique and become more familiar with the demands of each question.

With over 140 slides, the booklet includes a wide range of easy-to-follow activities, exam-style questions, model answers, mark scheme guidance and focused practice for all ten questions across the two papers. Each session can be completed independently, in small groups or as part of a teacher-led intervention programme.

I have also used the booklet as an independent revision resource with my own students. They work through the sessions in their own time before applying the skills to the accompanying homework tasks, which can then be marked and used for feedback. It works well for intervention groups, GCSE resit students, homework, classwork, revision sessions, isolation or exclusion work, and independent study.

The tasks are primarily aimed at helping students work towards a Grade 5 or above, while still providing useful practice and challenge across a range of abilities.

Skills from all six AQA Assessment Objectives are included, alongside mark scheme guidance and starter activities designed to strengthen AO6, spelling, punctuation, grammar and sentence control.
