English: Ruby's Worry - Design a Worry like Ruby's

A fun and creative Year 1 English activity inspired by Ruby’s Worry.

Children can imagine and design their own worry, drawing it in as much detail as they like. They can think carefully about what their worry might look, feel and move like, and add labels to describe its shape, size, colour, texture and features.

Once they have designed their worry, children can use their imagination to give it a name.

This activity encourages children to develop their descriptive vocabulary, creativity and understanding of emotions while making links to the story.
