ESL GRAMMAR CARDS FOR BEGINNERS

Teaching simple present third person singular pronouns is challenging for ESL teachers. I don’t particularly enjoy teaching this subject. To make my job easier and add a little bit fun, I have created ESL grammar cards for my fifth grade ESL students. There are 80 cards. The first twenty covers only positive sentences, the second twenty negative sentences, the third twenty questions, the fourth twenty is about exercises.
The procedure works this way: students get a card, they copy the card in their notebook, they fill in the blanks in the notebook, not on the card, they write their names at the back of the card, they return the card and get a new one. You can work it out on your own way.
Students finish from 4 to 10 grammar cards in one single lesson. While they are busy with their cards, I walk around the class and see how they are doing. They go crazy for this activity. It is worth the effort.
