Children draw shapes roughly in the shape of a face and go over the lines in charcoal. Eyes can be placed in a cubist manner. Tone can be used with smudging. Instructions are in the success criteria. Experiment with different techniques like fingerprints, patterns and adding sprinkles of chalk/charcoal. Examples provided.
