A KS3 maths resource to practise (not teach) converting between fractions, decimal and percentages. Can be easily adapted to work at KS2 and KS4.

A selection of fractions, decimals and percentages are treated as teams entered into a draw for a knockout competition. The criteria for winning a match can vary from, for example, being the lowest value; having most decimal places; value nearest a given figure such as 0.5.

The draw is made and the competition is then run by the pupil(s).

The resource is designed for 8 values but can easily be doubled to 16 values or halved to 4 values as required.

Task may work best when done in pairs or small groups; or teams, where each team works with a different set of values and then contributes their winning value to the final (or semi final) etc.
