Feedback in schools is becoming ever more important as Ofsted’s new framework shifts the focus away from traditional book marking to look at how teachers are opening dialogue about learning with their students. This is a cause I can totally get on board with and promote, especially when it comes to verbal feedback- which does not need a paper trail to prove it’s existence. I studied common coaching questions to come up with this short list than can help structure 1-2-1 discussion with students after their tests; with their papers in front of them/ This approach has proven to be highly effective within schools. I have made a short vlog about this resource on my YOUTUBE channel ‘time smart teaching’ called ’ feedback in 5’.
