This educational resource is aimed at learners aged 11 and above, guiding them through the initial steps needed to plan an inspiring film for change.
Learners will watch and reflect upon a variety of video clips, which are either youth-centred, biopic or documentary, to illustrate the impact that films can have on changing perspectives and prompting people to make a difference.
Following these discussions, there will be an opportunity to explore the ‘big picture’ issues that matter to learners the most, whilst considering relevant smaller changes that they could highlight within their film to increase awareness about an issue or push for localised change. They will then start thinking about how to choose a focus for their own film and the ways they can use their voices to advocate for change and build momentum.
