A lesson to teach six persuasive techniques to Year 7 students (although could be used with other KS3 years or even KS2 depending on ability level). Students love the Norwegian looking FLARRD and enjoy trying to pronounce it in an exaggerated way. The drawing was a very basic doodle of what a FLARRD might look like -you could swap this for your own interpretation. The grid can be used as a beetle drive style game - students roll a dice and then have to find an example of the persuasive technique before drawing that section of their creature, this would require you to provide one or several persuasive writing extracts that feature the six techniques or alternatively you could ask students to write their own examples.

This lesson is designed to be used as part of the Survival Guide SOW, which is available in my shop, although it can be used independently.

After trying the free lesson on purpose and audience I decided to give this one a go- the kids loved it! A really fun and memorable lesson. Thanks.
