How does too high of a temperature denature an
enzyme?
The enzyme molecule vibrates vigorously which
breaks hydrogen bonds, changing the tertiary
structure of the enzyme so it is denatured. Thus
very few enzyme-substrate complexes can form as
the active site is no longer complimentary to the
substrate.
