I used this lesson to introduce forces in our cross curricular topic on The Carnival of Animals but it would be a good introduction any time. Children were given a spinner, put in pairs and had to make animals from playdough but could only use the action described on the spinner (push, pull, twist, break, squeeze). Lots of opportunities for language and discussion. I hope you find it useful!

I have done something similar using a PowerPoint but having the spinner is a great idea!

love this idea, seem something similar but not where the students are so actively and independently thinking about the forces as they do it.. I can't see the notebook file on my computer but hopefully I can do it without it!

I love this idea! I will be using it with my class next week to intro and recap on their forces knowledge :)
