This is an excellent resource to use when teaching forces and friction in KS2 Science. It allows the children to carry out a fair test by testing the speed of a toy car on different surfaces, including card, sandpaper, carpet and tin foil. The worksheet encourages children to think scientifically by making predictions, taking accurate readings (including finding an average speed) and writing a conclusion.
