Creating a mnemonic with the word ‘FRIENDS’ can be a powerful way to remember the key aspects of combating bullying. These two ‘FRIENDS’ mnemonics not only helps in remembering key actions against bullying but also emphasises the importance of friendship and support.

This resource includes two different ‘FRIENDS’ mnemonics which can be used as a teaching resource or as a printable for a classroom display.

Also included in this resource is an activity sheet and a blank copy of each of the letters which could be used with children in a variety of ways:

Creating their own mnemonics
Creating ideas for each letter that they could do to help stop bullying
Writing a diary entry for each day of a week to show what they have done to try to prevent bullying from happening.
Drawing pictures to show thoughts and ideas about preventing bullying.

This could be printed as an individual activity sheet or as a larger shared group sheet.
