Free GCSE Computer Science key terms glossary (97 terms) and six retrieval quizzes with answers and slides. AQA (including the revised specification for exams from 2027), OCR, Edexcel and Eduqas.

The six areas are Algorithms; Programming; Data representation; Computer systems; Networks and cyber security; and Databases and impacts of technology. A specification map gives the matching sections for AQA (8525), OCR (J277), Edexcel (1CP2) and Eduqas (C500), and says what each board leaves out, so you can use exactly what your course covers.

The glossary gives each key term a clear, exam-ready meaning, with a short example wherever it helps (binary shifts, conversions, SQL). Terms that only some boards teach are labelled with those boards. Every quiz question is on all four specifications and is language-neutral, so any class can use every quiz. There is one retrieval quiz per area, each with 8 questions (4 multiple choice, 2 true or false, 2 short answers or conversions), and a one-page answer key so you can hand out the quizzes without the answers. The same quizzes come as PowerPoint slides, with question and answer slides for each area, ready for a 10-minute starter.

Every definition and question has been checked for accuracy against the four specifications. The Word and PowerPoint files are fully editable, and the PDF is ready to print.

Teachers use it:

  • As a knowledge organiser or key terms list for Year 10 and 11
  • As starters, homework or a quick check before mocks
  • For binary, hex and file-size practice
  • As a self-test: cover the meaning column and recall it
