I particularly like this worksheet because it gets progressively more difficult - requiring pupils to make their own substitutions. There are many similar worksheets provided by the same contributor which could be collated into a work booklet for A-Level pupils.
This powerpoint is a visual aid to introduce a GCSE project 'Disguise'.

Below are word documents with the new Curriculum 2014 objectives for each year group in the primary phase. I thought of using them by RAG rating children's understanding of the objectives featured. Use each year group objective sheet to suit the individual needs of groups of children in your class.
There are 4 sets of questions (Number, Algebra, Shape, Data) which are mainly A and A* (with some lower grade questions from topics which students struggle with, e.g. percentages, constructions). PLEASE REVIEW / COMMENT. Students work in pairs or small groups to answer the questions. When they finish a question they get it marked and if it is correct they are given cash to the value of the question. There are bank notes which you can put your school name and pictures of your teachers on. The team with the most money at the end could be given a prize.
Attached is a document for use in children's books to set and assess objectives in Year 1 - old national curriculum levels are included for Year 1
