For Year 10 and 11 GCSE Statistics students. Using a real-life project approach this is the first lesson looking at data collecting and representing continuous data using data collected by pupils. Included is the lesson plan with links to videos, the Powerpoint presentation for the lesson and worksheets for students. There is also an overview of the full 5 lesson project. This lesson introduces collecting primary data and creating questionnaires. Pupils also find averages - mode, mean and median. The following lessons use the data collected by pupils and look at sampling, drawing cumulative frequency graphs, equal and unequal class histograms, frequency polygons and the shape of distributions.
