This lesson is designed to be used with the new AQA English language course.
It looks at teaching Language Paper 1 Question 3.
The lesson involves students working through an extract in groups in an interactive way to make sense of the structure of the extract. The aim is to ask students to start independently applying their learning whilst having useful prompts to help them to achieve this goal. I have used this lesson with my mixed ability group year 10 in preparation for their mock and it worked really well. It's important to group students 'kagan style' to allow for higher ability students to work with and guide those who might struggle with the question.
