A lesson to introduce the idea of ‘revolution’ and the specifics of the German Revolution to a KS4+ group.

The central task involves piecing together a chronology, then using that to complete a knowledge organiser/notation task that assesses comprehension and requires to students to analyse the narrative closely before reaching a conclusion.

The lesson then goes on to examine what came of the revolution politically, via a Weimar constitution strengths and limitations review.
