Grades 6-12: Teacher & Student Friendly Common Core/PARCC Aligned Writing Rubrics

This bundled set of five Common Core writing rubrics (Grades 6, 7, 8, 9-10, 11-12) provides a bargain for schools and teachers developing a common approach to standards-based writing assessment. Each grade level rubric set provides both a Common Core standards-based teacher rubric for use with argument, informative, and narrative writing and an aligned student-friendly checklist as well.

Following PARCC's expanded rubric form, Dr. Dea's rubric delineates Common Core descriptors among five criteria categories: Reading Comprehension, Writing Development, Writing Organization, Clarity of Language, and Language Conventions. Additionally, Dr. Dea's rubric embeds Common Core grade-level language standards specifying grammar and conventions expectations. Each grade set within the bundle is intended for single-teacher use with the right to copy and disseminate among that teacher's students.
