Most grammar resources give you questions. This gives you the lesson.

Everyday Essentials teaches the structures that carry everyday meaning: degrees of obligation (can, must, should), comparatives and superlatives, countable and uncountable nouns, and possession. Every worked example names the mistake students actually make, and every practice section offers three tiers into the same skill — so you are not writing differentiation at 7am.

What’s inside — 24 files, 4 teaching lessons

  • Teacher deck (.pptx, 40 slides) — the unit in order, with teaching notes under every slide.
  • Student fillable deck (.pptx, 38 slides) — same spine, answers removed, room to write.
  • Student packet (.pdf + editable .docx, 9 A4 pages) — worked examples, three tiers of practice, applied tasks, and a before/after “I can…” self-assessment.
  • Teacher key (.pdf + .docx, 6 pages) — model answers in blue, “also accept”, and why each answer works.
  • Click-through quiz (.pptx, 32 slides, 21 marks) — run it as a slideshow: the student clicks an option and lands on feedback written for that answer. No macros, so nothing is stripped by school IT.
  • Self-marking quiz (.html) — one file, any browser, works offline. No accounts, no tracking.
  • Quiz on paper (.docx) with a separate mark scheme.
  • Three classroom games, written out with timings, what you need, and a stretch.
  • Cover lesson (.pdf) — one page a non-specialist can run cold.
  • Scheme of work, spaced retrieval homework (with answers), a project brief with levelled marking criteria, and a read-me that says what to open and when.

Every answer lives in a teacher file, inside a folder named “TEACHER ONLY - contains answers”. You can hand the student files out without checking them first.

Ideal for KS3 and KS4 English, EAL and ESL groups, adult literacy, homeschool, cover work, and anyone teaching a mixed-attainment class.

Single-teacher licence: print as many copies as you need for your own classes.
