This lesson format was designed to be printed for pupils to work through at their own pace. It does not require a specialist lab, and can be used as cover. It was written primarily for my yr8 science class. The lesson describes the work of Gregor Mendel and asks the pupils to answer comprehension questions about him. It then goes on to look at Genotypes and Phenotypes, dominant and recessive alleles and how characteristics can be inherited. There is an extended writing literacy task, a Do Now or Settler Task at the beginning and a Plenary at the end.
