A week’s worth of lessons looking at traditional tales with a twist: those written by the Grimm brothers. These tales will be exciting to re-write with their own ‘absurd and comical’ version of the story. The lesson looks in detail at two stories: Cinderella and Rumpelstiltskin with a focus on Rumpelstiltskin using Alan Peat’s boxing clever strategy for planning the narrative. Year 6 statements are included in a WAGOLL for speech, composition, punctuation and vocabulary with examples of how each child can achieve the statement.
