This is a booklet I made for my Year 11 students to independently work with the book "Café in Berlin" at home. THe book can be bought at amazon and contains very entertaining and authentic short stories, written from the perspective of a Sicilian young man who recently moved to Germany and try to learn German. My students loved the stories and asked me to buy more of those books.

The students will read the stories (one at a time) and use the booklet to write short personalised texts using the guided questions. Before writing, the students will answer the comprehension questions that come with each story in the book and they will write down a "vocabulary TOP 10" of interesting, important or new words.
This booklet can be adapted to any of your needs. The guided questions can also be used as discussion questions in class after reading.

I printed the file as a booklet and cut off the the bottom part of the pages to make the booklet smaller to fit into the exercise books. This is why the bottom parts are white. But you can change the layout as you wish ... add pictures or more lines for the writing parts, etc.
