Six short non-fiction Halloween texts for Years 3 to 5: where Halloween comes from (All Hallows’ Eve and Samhain), the jack-o’-lantern and the neep lanterns of Scotland, how pumpkins grow, guising and trick-or-treating, bats and echolocation, and why spiders are not insects. Five questions per text, a vocabulary page, a letter to write and model answers. Not scary.
