This is a halloween themed English activity looking at developing the pupils knowledge of grammar. The pupils look at singular nouns, plural nouns and collective nouns and come up with examples of each to fit the pattern of when to use ‘many’ or ‘much’.

It comes complete with a PowerPoint, an explanation sheet to stick in the pupil’s exercise books and success criteria for the pupils to assess their work with.

The activity is designed for a Year Six class and should take about 30-45 minutes depending on how much paired discussion, writing time, sharing of examples and self-assessment you do in the lesson.
