Harry Potter Narrative - Ideas and Planning

Explore ideas for changing a scene from Harry Potter by using inspiration from other visual literacy resources and plan ideas using given prompts.

What’s included:

• PowerPoint with video links to three challenges from Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone: Devils’s Snare, Flying Keys and Wizard’s Chess.
• Video links to other films where similar problems have been overcome (to help children generate their own ideas).
• Differentiated planning sheets to develop ideas for their own version of the scene from Harry Potter (LA: Red Group, MA: Orange Group, HA: Green Group).
• Planning sheet focuses on skills taught in previous lessons (speech and relative clauses).
• Differatiated learning objectives and success criteria.
