This Primary Teachers’ pack supports the RSC’s 2015 production of Henry V, directed by Gregory Doran, which opened on 12 September 2015 at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon.

This pack is designed to support primary school children who are reading, performing or watching a performance of Henry V. There are more activities available in the Henry V KS3-4 Teacher Pack that can be adapted for younger pupils.

The pack is divided up into 4 distinct sections designed to help you to plan your lessons: Knowing the Story;
Exploring the Characters; Staging War and Resource Materials. There are activities within each section which follow the RSC's active approach to learning about Shakespeare and are driven and guided by our rehearsal room practice. The pack also contains text based resources and key speeches from the play.
