A fun KS2 powerpoint with sound/spoken descriptions of some of the key problems faced by Henry VIII during his reign before establishing the Church of England.

This has been used in year 3 and year 4 classes but could also be used in upper KS2.

At the start of the presentation is a slide with a variety of ways in which the resource can be used to structure a history lesson. It can also be used with the associated worksheet (https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/henry-viii-8th-problems-tudor-wives-catholic-church-of-england-ks2-worksheet-11299009) which provides a structured space for children to organise their ideas about what Henry could (and did) do to solve his problems.

When I've used this in class, the children were taken by surprise by the 'voice' of Henry VIII and it helped to keep them engaged and motivated as I suggested they could try to feedback in a similar voice :-)
