The corpse of housemaid Jessica Summers has been discovered in the mansion of the Peterson family. You play the role of detective Osterman and have to work out who the murderer is, what was the murder weapon and what was the motive. Visit different rooms in the mansion, click on points of interest and interview the suspects.
I have used this game for nearly 10 years and my pupils love it. I have used it with year 6 pupils on secondary school induction days, through to GCSE students when developing use of evidence and reasoning.
Add the element of competition by limiting the number of guesses per pupil/ pair/group or award a prize to the fastest sleuth within your group, how you use this is totally up to you!
