Hooke's Law: Notes & Excercises

As your students gain an in depth understanding of Hooke’s law from this Tes product, they will practice and learn several important science skills including: data collection, data interpretation, graphing and calculating.

This product includes one page of handout notes that will give your students a detailed explanation of Hooke’s law and the principles behind it. Also included are three separate assignments for practicing the concepts and calculations related to Hooke’s law, and an HTML5 web-based inquiry lab using the Masses and Springs simulation from PhET interactive simulations. This simulation can be run from most cellphones, tablets and computers. Nothing to download or install. The inquiry lab will guide your students as they collect data, analyze results and formulate conclusions based on spring constant calculations and the forces applied to springs. Answer keys are included for all exercises.

At the top of each worksheet there is a link to a video from my YouTube Channel, Step by Step Science. These videos give a detailed explanation of the material covered on the worksheet. If students need help understanding the concepts or completing the worksheets, they can simply click on the link and watch the YouTube video where the topic is explained in detail. An outstanding resource for students who are not able to attend class.
